Haven Foundation today announced its registration as a non-profit charitable
organization under the Charities Directorate of Canada Customs and Revenue
Agency, and the selection of the Board of Directors. The Foundation also
announced that it has formally become the parent organization of PD Seminars
Ltd which operates The Haven Institute for Professional Training. The
underlying philosophy of the Institute is founded on the value of personal
relationship and how people can flourish through experiential learning,
communication based in curiosity, and personal responsibility—all
leading to wellness, fulfillment and meaningful relationships.
"This transfer of ownership was made possible through the generous
and charitable gifts of Bennet Wong, Jock McKeen, and members of their
family." says Dick Sass, Chairman of the Haven Foundation Board,
"I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the extraordinary
nature of this new initiative that remains located at The Haven Resort
& Conference Centre on Gabriola Island BC Canada. The enterprise is
founded on the life work of Ben and Jock in the educational field of human
potential, and involves an exploration into how we function and operate
as human beings."
Under the direction of Haven Foundation, The Haven Institute will continue
to foster growth through personal development and professional training
courses intended to enhance the quality of their life. The Haven has come
to be known as an educational centre where human beings are seen as whole
and able to take responsibility for themselves and their environment.
"The creation of Haven Foundation forms the basis for extending
into perpetuity the exceptional values taught at the Institute."
continues Sass, "We encourage a world where all life is treated with
open curiosity, compassion, dignity, and respect."
'The Haven', as it has come to be known, has been a unique and successful
life-learning centre for over 20 years. The web site, www.haven.ca,
is an excellent source of information providing complete course descriptions
and faculty biographies as well as the current schedule. For more information
